Linux DaVinci
Indeed DaVinci Linux running on top of the Linux Kernel, known for its stability and reliability, as well as the ease in integrating any type of computer (from Windows computers newborns, those born with Mac). Its base is the distribution Slax, a live version of the most famous of all in its known distribution area: Slackware. In fact, thanks to it DaVinci Linux, using his great extensibility, which is called modularity , could create a Live operating system (that does not require installation) as a bootable CD-ROM drive or USB.
Well, now that you know what DaVinci Linux, you’re wondering what to include in it I guess. Inside Linux DaVinci includes development environments such as CodeBlocks (to program in C / C + +) in native Linux version (thus creating executable for that environment) but also the SQL engine as the famous PostgreSQL , along with his administration panel PgAdmin , that will allow you to manage your database in local mode (also accessible from the outside, depending only on LAN environments with 192.168.xx addresses). But it does not end here, in fact you can create Web pages in a static or dynamic (through technology PHP) environment with XAMPP , which includes inside Apache , PHP , Perl , MySQL and PostgreSQL compatibility. Inside the distribution in fact there are both SQL database platforms for more flexible development, or to better analyze both environments in comparison. The development, however, is not focused only on Linux or the Web! In fact, within himself DaVinci Linux also provides work environments for Windows to run on that platform to create (thanks to Wine ), as through a development environment via console that is the Borland C 3.1 or by an assembly called JFE (thank you again Prof. Fabrizio Sacco for allowing me to use) that allows you to create executables for DOS and graphical environments, both 32-bit. But the list of software does not end here, because Linux has not forgotten those DaVinci multimedia tools needed when using an operating system. In fact within itself includes a browser ( Firefox ) with inside the Flash plug-in , an editor Word and one Excel and a PDF viewer . Clearly, all this is available free of charge when in DaVinci Linux can be downloaded either as ISO (for those who want to quickly burn a CD and use it) or LZM (for connoisseurs of modules, and wanted to include it in its distribution). DaVinci Linux but not limited to this, it is possible to install this distribution on a USB stick if you want it (making the changes permanent) or on a hard drive .
