Kiwi Linux 10.08
It is based on Ubuntu Linux , so it is free , stable, easy to install and use, immune to viruses , spyware and malware, and comes on a single CD. A new edition appears every six months or more often synchronized with Ubuntu releases.
Contains language translations and spell checker for Romanian and Hungarian , codecs for music, video and Flash, support for connecting to the internet via PPPoE (Clicknet and RDS). Can read and write to partitions created by Windows, and work with existing documents created with Microsoft Office.
As Kiwi uses Ubuntu packages deposits, security updates and corrections are automatically available as long as the Kiwi version of Ubuntu are and that is based, usually 18 months.
To try it, start the computer from a CD that you burned the image . You need 384 MB of RAM to run in good conditions. If you want to install 4GB disk space is needed – either a separate partition or free space on Windows partition, in the latter case the installation will create a partition for the Kiwi.
