Greenie is a Slovak Linux distribution giving rise to the popular distribution Ubuntu . The project aims to create a full system tailored for users in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Greenie is a separate OS, but can work together with other systems (Windows, Ubuntu …) on one computer.
Greenie system is suitable for beginners and advanced focusing on the household use or as a full Live CD / Live USB (can be used without installation on your hard disk). Allows for convenient work and play, works without connecting to the Internet and combines a sound basis with news from the world of free software. Greenie is not only Slovak Linux, it’s a full opportunity to use not only your computer. Without restrictions and with all the advantages that Linux offers.
The motto is “freedom of choice”. Deems necessary to enable each individual to choose. Whether music player, media or anything else. If you are a creative person and want to gain insight into Linux for your Green is a good choice. Green is also often used as an intermediate between Microsoft Windows and demanding distributions like Arch Linux or Debian .
