cp6Linux 2009
cp6Linux distribution, the development carried out in Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, funded from the budget of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society, is a general purpose Linux distribution that is aimed at desktop and business users to use free software in Serbian language and adapted to work users in Serbia, which includes programs and settings that are appropriate for use in Serbia and the Serbian language.
Distribution is based on the distribution of Ubuntu, but it has its own packages present on the Serbian language and includes additional and different programs than those included in Ubuntu by default. Distribution cp6Linux includes externally performed localization major packages (KDE, Gnome, Firefox, Thunderbird, OpenOffice.org …) and localization of additional programs and software packages necessary to install and configure systems and install additional programs, as well as specific settings to use in Serbia. The distribution will be available in versions for home use, use in schools and colleges and the approach is for office use.
Localization will be available in Cyrillic and Latin, and distribution will be very compatible with Ubuntu distribution packages home so as not to remedy a standalone addition to setting the system user needs and preferences, and use additional applications will not be included in the distribution itself cp6Linux.
