ICQ Warning: This Version is Getting Old in Miranda: How to Fix
Recently in my favourite ICQ client (Miranda IM) has appeared a message about the old protocol. It appeared every time I started it and I really didn’t like it. I’ve gone to the official site and downloaded the most recent version of Miranda – this didn’t help. The message didn’t disappear though I’ve had an up-to-date version of Miranda. Here is the message box:
The solution was found on Miranda forums. All you need to solve this issue is to download the updated version of ICQ Protocol. Then you need to extract its contents to Miranda plugins directory (make sure Miranda is not running), and then restart Miranda. This should solve the issue. Another solution proposed was to use the alternative version of ICQ protocol named icq+. I didn’t try this, but I think it works too.
