Alix is a project born from the passion of a woman from Quebec to the Linux operating system. It is a French language and customization of the popular live CD SLAX , itself based on the Linux distribution Slackware . Alix is a bootable CD-Rom. When introduced into the CD drive of your computer, it will mount a linux system so you can try it, all without altering the contents of the disc in your machine.
The latest version comes with the window manager XFCE . It will include a wide range of applications GTK + . The CD is bilingual or French and English language selection takes place at the CD release.
